Position: Farm Manager
Qualification & Experience: An agricultural graduate or post-graduate with minimum 10 to 12 years experience in managing a large farm, within or outside India. Candidate must have a proven record of technical and management capability in running commercial farm operations.
Knowledge:Professional level knowledge of the agricultural sciences, particularly in vegetable crops, modern farming practices and nursery management. The Farm Manager is expected to have the technical knowledge to scientifically grow each of the assigned crops to a high degree of successful yield and quality. In addition, knowledge of post-harvest technology, including grading & packaging and marketing of farm produce is essential. Self motivated to constantly enhance their knowledge of technical, business and management information and to establish as a leader in Farm and crop production.
Job Responsibility & Role:
We are looking for a Farm Manager at Dhaanya Seeds PVT LTD, Bangalore, India, who has experience in managing a large agriculture farm of the size ranging from 1000 to 2000 acres. This position is responsible for managing the entire Farm operations and is the highest level employee working at this facility.
He would be in charge of all Farm operations including managing the crop production, crop protection, conservation of soil and water resources, farm mechanization & automation, sales & marketing of farm produce, operational budget, farm purchases and general management. This position is critical to the success of our farm activity and requires an experienced, highly motivated, energetic, and knowledgeable professional.
